President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has held a phone conversation with Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel.
Petro Poroshenko and Angela Merkel have discussed the process of peaceful settlement of the situation in the Donbas. The parties have agreed that the video conference of the Trilateral Contact Group held recently was a progress in the fulfillment of the Minsk agreements. However, the key moment in this issue is to hold the meeting of the contact group in order to carry out the pullback to the delimitation line, harmonize the road map of the withdrawal of troops and liberate hostages. Petro Poroshenko hopes that all the parties will make every effort for the meeting of the contact group to be held shortly.
The parties have also discussed economic and financial interaction. Petro Poroshenko has informed that Ukraine had prepared the plan of reforms and the Law on the State Budget 2015 would have been approved by the Parliament by the end of the year. The President says that the position of the IMF, the EU and other institutions that provide the macro-financial assistance should be consistent and responsible, for the Ukrainian authorities demonstrate full interaction and internal consolidation.
The interlocutors have also agreed to continue making efforts to stabilize the economic situation in Ukraine and peacefully resolve the situation in the Donbas.
